This started out as a self portrait in which I was lying on my stomach right after letting my hair dry from a shower. My hair has these natural crazy curls in it which are actually fun to draw (but not so fun to live with outside of art, lol) I originally had my arm under my chin, but I thought it looked silly when I was laying in the skin color, so I got rid of it.

After several hours of trying to place a hand in there, I gave up, as I think that it makes the piece too busy. But I had already drawn the hair, curled up under my arm and rather than redo the hair (this is days later from the original sketch) I just left it and there you have it: Space Curls. :3

Not being one for much background detail, I just threw some color back there and left it.

So while it's still pretty much me, my hair doesn't do THAT (and it's muuuuuch longer now, lol)
